Richemont seeks a Junior Data Engineer in Amsterdam to build scalable data pipelines and models using SQL, Python and cloud data platforms.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest and transform data from multiple source systems.
- Implement data models and curate analytics-ready datasets for use by BI, analytics and product teams.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Ensure data quality and observability through automated testing, monitoring and anomaly detection.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation and the establishment of engineering best practices for the data platform.
- Support deployment and operationalisation of data workflows in cloud environments and orchestration frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering or software development.
- Proven proficiency with SQL and relational data modelling.
- Practical experience coding in Python for data processing and automation.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms and modern data stack tooling (data ingestion, orchestration and warehousing).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to data quality and a collaborative mindset.
Skills
Experience
1–3 years of hands-on experience building data pipelines, developing ETL/ELT processes and delivering analytics-ready datasets in a production environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent practical experience.
