Role & Responsibilities
- Support atelier bench jewellers with assembly, finishing and repair tasks under supervision.
- Learn and apply basic stone setting, soldering and filing techniques with attention to tolerances required in high‑jewellery production.
- Prepare components and fixtures, manage work orders and maintain traceability of pieces throughout the production process.
- Carry out finishing operations including polishing, buffing and visual inspection to ensure compliance with quality criteria.
- Assist with routine maintenance and basic calibration of hand tools and small equipment following safety protocols.
- Participate in practical training sessions and technical reviews to develop craftsmanship and product knowledge.
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace and adhere to atelier health, safety and security procedures.
- Support inventory control for consumables and small parts and assist with basic documentation of repairs.
Qualifications
- Enrolment in a recognised work‑study or apprenticeship programme (alternance) in jewellery, precious‑metal work or related craft.
- Vocational qualification preferred — CAP/BEP in Jewellery, Horology or Metalwork advantageous.
- Excellent manual dexterity, fine motor skills and hand‑eye coordination.
