Role & Responsibilities

  • Conceive mechanical solutions that fulfill design imagination and creative requirements
  • Execute multiphysics calculations and simulations to validate kinematic, dynamic, and energetic behavior of mechanisms
  • Conduct technical feasibility studies and document technical specifications for prototyping
  • Participate in prototype realization and refinement across all development phases
  • Collaborate with multiple internal departments and external partners on cross-functional design reviews
  • Oversee comprehensive technical project tracking and milestone management
  • Monitor technological trends and propose innovative movement concepts
  • Evaluate systems and solutions for differentiated performance and novel functionality

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree (HES, EPF, or equivalent) in mechanical engineering or microtechnics
  • Demonstrable professional experience as a horological mechanism designer
  • Deep expertise in Newtonian mechanics, kinematics, materials resistance, and tribology
  • Proficiency in multiphysics simulations and watchmaking manufacturing processes
  • Mastery of technical drawing and functional dimensioning
  • Advanced competency with 3D CAD software (Creo, Solidworks, or equivalent)
  • Creative and innovative mindset with strong technical and scientific curiosity
