Role & Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Platform/DevOps and IIoT engineers, fostering technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Review designs, code, and implementations to ensure compliance with best practices, architectural standards, and security policies.
• Drive adoption of architecture standards and patterns to support platform consistency, scalability, and maintainability.
• Promote strong organization, documentation, and knowledge sharing across technical implementations.
• Leverage modern AI/ML tools and practices.
• Lead and manage Agile SCRUM teams, facilitate ceremonies, remove impediments, and maintain efficient workflows.
• Refine and prioritize the team backlog, track delivery progress, and monitor KPIs to support timely, high-quality outcomes.
• Support team members’ professional growth through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Collect and analyze client and stakeholder feedback, identify technical and functional gaps, and translate insights into platform improvements.
• Contribute to the platform evolution roadmap and identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and optimization.
• Ensure platform operational readiness, stability, and performance in line with ITIL best practices and ITOps activities.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization to promote cost-efficiency and operational excellence.
• Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for consistent, repeatable deployments.
• Guide development and integration of IIoT solutions, ensuring secure, scalable data ingestion, processing, and connectivity from industrial assets.
• Collaborate with clients, the Product Owner, architects, and engineers to define requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in software development, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
• At least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership or team lead position managing engineering teams in an Agile SCRUM environment.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Strong technical background and hands-on experience with the DevOps toolchain.
• Deep understanding of and practical experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including compute, storage, networking, and security services.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Strong scripting skills, such as Python, Bash, or Go, for automation and tooling.
• Deep understanding of and experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) practices, including version control with Git.
• Knowledge and experience in Java development, particularly for microservices or platform components.
• Solid understanding of Domain Driven Design (DDD), Event Driven Architecture (EDA), Microservices Architecture, and Enterprise Integration Patterns.
• ANSI/ISA-95 knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with IIoT platforms and services.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus, and Profinet.
• Understanding of edge computing concepts and architectures for IIoT deployments.
• Experience with data ingestion, processing, and analytics pipelines for time-series data.
• Strong understanding of ITIL best practices and extensive experience with ITOps activities.
• Solid grasp of Agile methodologies and their application in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Strong experience with Atlassian Suite, including Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to teach, guide, support, and mentor others in a technical context.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting complex distributed systems.
• Ability to gather client feedback, identify technical and functional gaps, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to foster collaboration, manage conflicts, and build high-performing teams.
• Strategic thinking and ability to contribute to technical roadmaps and anticipate future technology needs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
