Role & Responsibilities
- Support continuous-improvement initiatives on the shop floor using lean methodologies and data-driven analysis.
- Collect, analyse and visualise production data to identify bottlenecks, waste and opportunities for cycle-time reduction.
- Conduct time-and-motion studies, process mapping and value-stream analyses to propose layout and workflow optimisations.
- Prototype and test tooling or fixturing solutions in collaboration with technicians and artisans; produce technical documentation and engineering drawings.
- Contribute to capacity planning, cost-reduction exercises and quality improvement projects, liaising with production, quality and supply-chain teams.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarising findings, recommended actions and expected performance gains for engineering managers.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering (or closely related discipline).
- Strong analytical ability with experience applying statistical or process-improvement tools to real-world problems.
- Comfortable working on the factory floor and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams including technicians and artisans.
- Proven ability to synthesise technical data into clear, actionable recommendations and communicate them to stakeholders.

Experience
Prior academic project work or an internship in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred; hands-on exposure to shop-floor processes, process mapping, time studies or tooling trials is advantageous.
