Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, monthly closing and reporting for the manufacturing site, delivering timely P&L, balance sheet and cash analyses to site leadership.
  • Develop, maintain and challenge standard costing, product cost models and inventory valuation methodologies; perform detailed variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  • Own budgeting and forecasting processes for plant operations, consolidating inputs from production, supply chain and procurement; produce rolling forecasts and scenario analyses.
  • Support CAPEX appraisal, business case preparation and post-investment performance tracking for industrial projects.
  • Define, track and report operational KPIs (productivity, yield, scrap, labour efficiency) and translate them into financial impacts and action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies and group reporting standards; coordinate with internal and external auditors as required.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, sourcing, engineering and commercial teams to improve costing accuracy, working capital management and operational performance.
  • Design and automate management reports and dashboards to increase decision-making speed and data transparency at site and regional levels.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven expertise in cost accounting, standard costing and inventory valuation within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical ability in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Experience implementing or operating within ERP systems for manufacturing finance (e.g., SAP) and familiarity with BI/reporting tools.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, Chartered Accountant) or equivalent is desirable.

Experience

Typically 3–5 years of progressive experience in industrial or manufacturing finance, ideally within luxury goods, high-value manufacturing or complex multi-site operations, including hands-on month-end close, cost control and ERP-driven reporting.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Industrial Engineering or related discipline; master’s degree or professional accounting qualification preferred.
