Role & Responsibilities

• Optimize CAPEX investments in machine tools and indirect procurement, selecting suitable solutions and negotiating comprehensive packages covering service and long-term relationships.
• Partner with technical engineering teams early in the procurement process, acting as project lead and integrated buyer in tenders.
• Lead strategic negotiations focused on co-development, service and total value, considering technical, financial, legal, delivery and CSR criteria to secure supply and long-term commitments.
• Assess and select emerging technologies, including industrial IoT, robotics, predictive maintenance and digital twins, considering environmental and social impacts; monitor innovations, including sustainable and eco-responsible solutions.
• Develop sustainable supplier partnerships, stimulate innovation and integrate CSR objectives into CAPEX supplier performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Manage a diverse indirect procurement portfolio for the manufacturing site, including maintenance, consumables and services.
• Negotiate framework agreements and commercial terms, particularly for services and maintenance, to optimize costs, ensure quality and establish clear standards, including CSR requirements.
• Identify, qualify and develop new suppliers; implement multi-sourcing and systematic competition strategies to improve performance, strengthen supplier-panel resilience and incorporate sustainability, ethics and social-compliance criteria.
• Lead total cost of ownership (TCO) optimization and continuous improvement of procurement processes in collaboration with the Head of Procurement and relevant departments.
• Proactively manage supplier risks across financial, technical, supply and CSR areas, integrating social and environmental responsibility principles into procurement processes to ensure compliance and reduce impact.
• Ensure rigorous administration of orders, warranties and sourcing tools, maintaining compliance and traceability.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of confirmed professional experience in a similar scope.
• Mastery of, or strong interest in, advanced production concepts and technologies, including IoT, Big Data, AI applied to production, predictive maintenance and additive manufacturing.
• Knowledge of machine tools, automation systems and robotics is an asset.
• Excellent negotiation skills, combining strategic firmness and diplomatic finesse while defending company interests and building lasting relationships.
• Strategic perspective and the ability to prioritize long-term relationships and service when required.
• Excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
• Commitment and follow-through, with the ability to seek support when needed and maintain appropriate alignment with management.
• Strong adaptability to complex environments with cross-functional interactions and multidisciplinary teams.
• Autonomy, rigour and strong prioritization skills to deliver complex projects on schedule.
• Strong interpersonal skills, active listening and diplomacy to secure stakeholder alignment.
• Fluent French; intermediate English and German are an advantage.
