Richemont is hiring an Import & Export Trainee in Sao Paulo. Support customs, freight and trade compliance for a leading luxury goods group.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day import and export operations including preparation and verification of commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and airwaybills.
  • Coordinate shipment movements with freight forwarders, carriers and customs brokers and monitor transit status until delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with Brazilian customs regulations, import/export controls and Incoterms as applied to each shipment.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate customs documentation, HS classifications and product origin records for audits and clearance.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders — warehouses, sales, finance and legal — to resolve shipping discrepancies and align documentation.
  • Assist with customs clearance processes, payment of duties and tax documentation where required.
  • Contribute to shipment tracking, inventory reconciliation and exception reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for import/export workflows and assist in ad-hoc trade compliance projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or final-year student in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
  • Familiarity with import/export documentation and Incoterms.
  • Understanding of Brazilian customs procedures and basic HS classification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and data reconciliation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Legal right to work in Brazil.

Experience
