Richemont seeks a High Watchmaking Operations Specialist in Meyrin, Switzerland to oversee production and quality in haute horlogerie.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise day-to-day production workflows within a high-watchmaking environment, ensuring targets, lead times and quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activity between assembly benches, quality control, supply chain and engineering to maintain continuous production flow.
  • Supervise inspection and testing of movements and finished watches using precision timing and metrology equipment.
  • Implement and monitor production KPIs, escalate deviations and drive corrective actions to maintain on-time delivery.
  • Support introduction of new calibers and product transitions, including production validation, documentation and process qualification.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (5S/lean) to improve efficiency, yield and ergonomics on the production floor.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality systems and regulatory requirements, maintaining traceability and production records.
  • Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to watchmakers and operators; contribute to skills development and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in watchmaking (WOSTEP) or equivalent qualification in watchmaking / micro-mechanics.
  • Demonstrable expertise in mechanical watch movement assembly, regulation and adjustment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies applicable to haute horlogerie.
  • Practical experience with ERP systems (experience with SAP preferred) and production reporting (MS Excel).
  • Proven ability to collaborate with engineering, supply chain and quality teams in a production environment.

Experience

Diploma in watchmaking (WOSTEP) or degree/certificate in micro-mechanics, precision engineering or equivalent.
