Richemont is hiring a Heritage & Second‑Hand Development Manager in Plan‑les‑Ouates, Switzerland to architect and scale the group's pre‑owned and heritage programmes.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and implement a group‑level strategy for heritage and second‑hand (pre‑owned) activities, aligned with brand positioning and commercial objectives.
  • Design and operationalize certified pre‑owned programmes, including authentication, refurbishment, pricing, grading and warranty propositions.
  • Develop commercial models, P&L targets and KPIs for resale channels; monitor performance and iterate pricing and assortment strategies.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders — brand teams, legal, product development, retail, digital and marketing — to ensure brand integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Select and manage external partners and vendors (refurbishers, authentication labs, resale platforms, logistics providers) and negotiate commercial terms.
  • Define product intake, quality control and refurbishment standards; implement training and SOPs for in‑house and retail teams.
  • Lead go‑to‑market planning for pre‑owned assortments and heritage activations, including digital experiences, events and storytelling.
  • Oversee systems and data requirements for tracking inventory provenance, warranty history and resale lifecycle; define reporting requirements.
  • Champion sustainability and circularity objectives across initiatives to enhance brand reputation and extend product lifecycle.
  • Represent the group at industry forums and trade events related to heritage, authentication and the secondary market.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in luxury goods, with direct experience building or operating pre‑owned/resale or heritage programmes within watches, jewellery or high‑value accessories.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience owning P&L, pricing strategy and KPI delivery.
  • Deep knowledge of authentication, conservation and refurbishment processes, or experience managing third‑party partners that deliver these services.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and cross‑functional leadership; able to work with creative, legal, retail and digital teams.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing vendor contracts and service level agreements.
  • Highly organized, methodical approach to program rollout with demonstrated project management capabilities.
  • Ability to translate heritage storytelling into commercial and digital activations while protecting brand equity.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French or another European language is highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in the luxury sector, with demonstrable responsibility for launching or scaling pre‑owned, recommerce or heritage initiatives and managing cross‑disciplinary teams and external partners.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business, luxury management, heritage conservation or a related discipline; Master's degree or equivalent professional qualifications preferred.
