Richemont seeks a Health, Safety, Security and Environment Manager in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland to lead comprehensive HSQE programs.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive site-wide health and safety culture aligned with group strategy and objectives
- Lead workplace risk identification initiatives; propose and monitor corrective action plans with measurable metrics
- Ensure regulatory compliance across all HSQE domains; maintain liaison with relevant authorities (SENE, municipal bodies)
- Design and deliver health and safety training modules for employees and external parties; track training completion and efficacy
- Conduct and coordinate Health, Safety and Security audits within the facility; analyze findings and recommend improvements
- Establish and maintain a traceability system for accidents, incidents, and near-miss situations; supervise remedial measures
- Develop and disseminate environmental policy; conduct environmental analysis per group methodology and monitor carbon reduction targets
- Manage waste reduction initiatives; maintain current chemical product inventory and identify substitute materials with lower environmental impact
- Monitor and report on environmental KPIs (waste, volatile organic compounds) and energy consumption; propose facility optimization opportunities (HVAC, compressed air systems)
- Supervise comprehensive on/off-boarding protocols including access credentialing, safety briefings, and baseline training
- Collaborate closely with security personnel; design and maintain security infrastructure and access control systems; manage emergency response and facility lockdown procedures
- Lead HSQE management meetings; participate in group-level external forums; provide executive support during crisis situations
Qualifications
- Swiss certified safety training (federal diploma or equivalent, or recognized foreign qualification in progress)
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Compelling written and oral communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Analytical mindset with ability to synthesize complex information and federate diverse perspectives
- Demonstrated experience in industrial health, safety, security and environmental management within a regulated manufacturing environment
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5–7 years in a dedicated health, safety, security, or environmental management role, preferably within a high-value manufacturing, luxury goods production, or heavily regulated industrial setting. Prior experience managing multi-disciplinary HSQE programs and interfacing with external regulatory bodies is essential.
Education
Swiss-recognized certification in occupational health and safety (Brevet Fédéral de Spécialiste en Sécurité or equivalent), or foreign qualification with pending Swiss recognition. Technical or professional qualification in environmental management, industrial hygiene, or related discipline is advantageous.
