Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and implement IT strategy within assigned scope, ensuring alignment with Group IT strategy and business objectives
  • Establish service architectural standards for applications, data, integration, technology, security, and business domains
  • Present actionable recommendations to business and IT leaders regarding policies and projects
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for significant areas of responsibility, anticipating complex challenges and opportunities
  • Optimize resources and assets through tactical planning and efficient allocation
  • Provide expert advisory counsel to senior management at business unit and regional levels
  • Manage departmental budget plans, development, and delivery
  • Propose and develop annual business plans with aligned financial and headcount budgets
  • Communicate and implement strategic initiatives across the business area, linking to organizational mission and values
  • Identify and manage stakeholders up to management level; lead stakeholder engagement planning
  • Manage and report on departmental performance; set and monitor performance objectives for direct reports
  • Contribute to organizational structure development through recommendations on reporting lines and roles
  • Evaluate staff capabilities, identify development gaps, and implement formal development frameworks

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in technology leadership roles within complex or global environments
  • Strong background in enterprise architecture, digital platforms, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data management
  • Solid experience managing large-scale programs, budgets, and distributed teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence at C-suite level
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • MBA or executive education (preferred)
