Montblanc: Head of Commercial Controlling (m/f/d) in Hamburg – Lead global commercial finance strategy for iconic luxury brand.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end ownership of commercial planning, forecasting and performance steering across Montblanc's global retail and wholesale operations
- Partner closely with the CFO, CEO and Executive Leadership Team to deliver financial insights and commercial guidance on major strategic decisions
- Create transparency and drive accountability around core business drivers including sales performance, gross margin, productivity, pricing effectiveness, conversion rates and channel profitability
- Lead rigorous financial analysis and ROI assessment for major investments across marketing, retail expansion and strategic growth initiatives
- Develop and enhance forecasting models and methodologies to improve accuracy, business steering capability and decision-making quality
- Lead and mentor a high-performing Commercial Controlling team, fostering analytical excellence, business partnership and continuous improvement
- Influence resource allocation and investment prioritization to drive sustainable profitable growth across markets, functions and regions
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in commercial controlling, business finance or similar strategic financial leadership role within a global organisation
- Proven track record of impact in luxury, retail or multi-channel commercial environments
- Demonstrated ability to influence C-suite leadership and translate strategic ambition into operational execution
- Advanced analytical and financial modelling capabilities
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
- Exceptional business acumen with ability to identify key commercial drivers and trends
Skills
Experience
Minimum 10–12 years of progressive finance or commercial controlling experience, with at least 5 years in a strategic leadership capacity within a global luxury, retail or consumer goods organisation. Prior exposure to complex multi-channel, multi-market commercial environments is essential.
Education
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related quantitative discipline. MBA or equivalent advanced business qualification is preferred.
