Richemont seeks a Government Affairs Senior Manager in Bellevue, Switzerland to lead government relations strategy across CH and US markets.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of the Group's global government affairs strategy across Switzerland and the United States with clear market prioritization
  • Translate global policy priorities (ESG, trade, data, tax, product regulation) into targeted, market-specific engagement plans aligned with Group positions
  • Develop and execute tailored government relations strategies for assigned markets, building and maintaining senior-level relationships with policymakers and regulators
  • Support senior leadership engagement with key government stakeholders, particularly in Switzerland as the Group's headquarters location
  • Ensure coordinated and consistent engagement across Maisons in government affairs activities
  • Monitor and assess policy, legislative, and regulatory developments across assigned markets and implement advocacy strategies
  • Monitor geopolitical, trade, and economic policy developments impacting the Group's international operations and support advocacy strategies to protect market access
  • Develop and execute annual stakeholder engagement plans with clear objectives, milestones, and measurable outcomes aligned with Group priorities
  • Represent the Group within relevant trade associations and industry platforms, ensuring alignment with Group priorities and maximizing responsible collective influence
  • Work closely with Group Central Functions (Legal, Sustainability, Communications, Operations, Finance, Human Resources) and coordinate with the Government Affairs Senior Manager for Europe to align on policy priorities
  • Ensure consistency of messaging and positioning across markets and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on political and regulatory matters
  • Contribute to building a cohesive government affairs operating model across the Group

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and French; German highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in Humanities, Political Science, International Relations, Law, Economics, or Social Sciences (Master's degree preferred)
  • 10–15 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or related fields
  • Background spanning corporate, public sector, or consultancy environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in government relations, public affairs, and communications disciplines, including crisis and issues management
  • Strong network in Switzerland and well-established network in the United States
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with senior government stakeholders
  • Experience in consumer-facing or regulated industries (advantageous)
  • Sound judgment, strong intellect, and business acumen
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and power dynamics

Background in consumer-facing or regulated industries is advantageous.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Humanities, Political Science, International Relations, Law, Economics, or Social Sciences. Master's degree in a related discipline is preferred.
