GL & VAT Accountant at Richemont in Meyrin, Switzerland. Maternity cover role (6–8 months) managing accounting operations and tax compliance across 28 European countries.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute balance sheet reconciliations and timely processing of accounting journals in line with IFRS and Group policies
  • Investigate and clear general ledger accounts to maintain accuracy and compliance
  • Participate in monthly consolidated reporting cycles and ensure proper allocation of costs in coordination with the controlling team
  • Control, review, and file indirect tax statements across 28 European countries
  • Address ad hoc queries from tax administrations and maintain standardized procedures and guidelines
  • Support internal and external stakeholders with accounting and tax compliance matters

Qualifications

  • Finance Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in accounting operations and general ledger management
  • Proficiency in indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and consolidated reporting requirements
