Cartier seeks General Accountant & Internal Control Specialist in Meyrin, Switzerland. Finance role combining accounting, internal controls and process improvement expertise.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare and record accounting entries in compliance with IFRS, Group policies and closing deadlines for multiple legal entities
- Actively participate in monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes including balance sheet, P&L, financial statements and disclosures
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger reviews and analytical controls to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial information
- Contribute to the preparation of statutory and management reporting
- Perform first-level internal control reviews across multiple legal entities and identify accounting and operational risks
- Support Finance teams in the application of accounting procedures and internal control standards
- Ensure compliance with Group policies and maintain a robust control environment
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and participate in Finance transformation and standardization initiatives
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits, coordinate auditors' requests and monitor implementation of recommendations
- Review Travel & Entertainment expenses for compliance with Company policies and Maison standards
- Participate in cross-functional Finance projects and contribute to departmental objectives
Qualifications
- Federal Diploma in Finance & Accounting, Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent qualification
- 5 to 10 years of experience in General Accounting within an international or multinational environment
- Strong knowledge of General Accounting, financial closing processes and Internal Control
- Proven experience with monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings
- Experience working with multiple legal entities (strongly preferred)
- Fluent French and good command of English
- Strong knowledge of SAP FI/CO module
- Advanced Excel proficiency
Skills
Experience
5 to 10 years of experience in General Accounting, ideally within an international environment or multinational company. Proven track record with monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings. Experience working with multiple legal entities is a strong asset.
Education
Federal Diploma in Finance & Accounting, Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent qualification.
