Van Cleef & Arpels seeks a Gemology Lecturer in Tokyo to lead courses at L'ECOLE School of Jewelry Arts, supporting educational content and knowledge dissemination.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and co-facilitate gemology courses and educational events for L'ECOLE, serving both external audiences and internal stakeholders on campus and via nomadic school initiatives
  • Design, develop, and continuously update educational content delivered in person and remotely, ensuring alignment with L'ECOLE's mission of transmitting jewelry culture and expertise
  • Proofread and oversee Japanese translations of educational materials and ad-hoc content to maintain accuracy and consistency
  • Collaborate with the training team to support the Maison's knowledge dissemination objectives and contribute to the development of comprehensive educational materials
  • Participate in the conceptualization and implementation of new projects and initiatives designed to reinvent and expand L'ECOLE's offerings

Qualifications

  • Gemology certification such as GIA (Gemological Institute of America) or GG (Graduate Gemologist)
  • Business fluency in both Japanese and English with excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and digital applications
  • Demonstrated sense of organization, team spirit, responsiveness, and positive energy
  • Experience in educational content development, course facilitation, or knowledge transfer within a luxury or specialized industry

Experience
