Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, ensuring alignment with IFRS standards and Italian GAAP standards, and compliance with Group procedures and policies
  • Supervise all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and financial reporting
  • Develop and implement internal controls, financial procedures, and scalable accounting strategies across departments
  • Collaborate with the CFO to align accounting goals with business strategy and provide actionable financial insights for strategic projects
  • Ensure compliance with all local and international tax regulations, and oversee preparation and submission of tax declarations (VAT, corporate income tax), customs obligations, and Banca d'Italia requirements
  • Manage and optimize administrative financial processes, including cash flow management, intercompany transactions, and treasury management
  • Liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and relevant authorities on tax and administrative finance matters
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate potential impacts and opportunities to management
  • Leverage advanced SAP accounting system knowledge to manage financial transactions, generate reports, and ensure data integrity
  • Mentor junior finance team members and drive best practices in accounting processes and analytical tools

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in financial controlling with strong accounting expertise, ideally in luxury, retail, or manufacturing sectors
  • Master knowledge of IFRS standards and Italian GAAP, including consolidation accounting principles
  • Strong knowledge of Italian and international tax regulations and compliance procedures
  • Proven experience in managing administrative financial processes and internal controls
  • Advanced proficiency with SAP S4 (or equivalent ERP systems)
  • Proficiency with financial analytics tools (Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms)
  • Advanced Excel capabilities
