Richemont (Cartier) hiring an Event Planner in Tokyo — 1-year contract to plan and deliver high‑profile brand and client events.
Role & Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and deliver high-profile client and brand events for Cartier in Tokyo, from concept through post-event reporting.
- Develop and manage event budgets, timelines and procurement processes; negotiate and administer vendor contracts.
- Consolidate requirements with internal stakeholders (marketing, PR, retail, VIP services) and ensure brand compliance across all touchpoints.
- Oversee on-site production and logistics, including venue operations, AV, F&B, guest flows and VIP hospitality.
- Manage guest lists, invitations, RSVP tracking and on-site registration; ensure exemplary client service for VIPs and partners.
- Produce event briefs, floor plans, run sheets and contingency plans; coordinate rehearsals and supplier deliveries.
- Measure event effectiveness through KPIs and post-event analysis; prepare executive summaries and P&L reconciliations.
- Ensure all activities comply with local regulations, venue requirements and Richemont brand standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Events Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven track record of executing luxury or high‑profile events, ideally within the jewellery, fashion or premium lifestyle sectors.
- Strong project and budget management skills with demonstrated vendor negotiation experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management and written/verbal communication; able to liaise with senior executives and external partners.
- Business-level Japanese and professional proficiency in English preferred.
- Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends and to attend events outside standard office hours.

Experience
Typically 3–5 years of progressive experience in event planning, with proven delivery of luxury, VIP or corporate brand events; prior work with international brands and cross-functional teams is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Events Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications or equivalent experience.
