Role & Responsibilities
- Define and govern the target enterprise architecture for operating systems and core business functions (finance, supply chain, retail, CRM) to ensure alignment with business strategy and technology roadmaps.
- Lead solution design and architectural reviews for large-scale transformation programmes, ensuring scalability, interoperability and security of platform and integration patterns.
- Own cross-domain integration strategies, API standards and middleware patterns to enable seamless data flow between ERP, CRM, POS and e‑commerce systems.
- Drive cloud architecture and migration strategies (IaaS/PaaS), including reference architectures, cost optimisation and resilience requirements.
- Establish and enforce architecture governance, design principles and non-functional requirements; chair architecture review boards and sign-off processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners and delivery teams to translate business objectives into feasible, testable technical solutions and implementation plans.
- Mentor architects and senior engineers; promote best practices in CI/CD, containerisation, observability and automated testing across teams.
Qualifications
- Proven track record as an enterprise or lead solution architect in complex, multinational organisations, ideally within retail, luxury or consumer goods.
- Deep experience with ERP and core business platforms (design, integration and transformation) and broad understanding of retail/CRM ecosystems.
- Demonstrable experience defining integration patterns, API-first architectures and event-driven designs for enterprise-scale systems.
- Strong track record of working with cloud platforms and hybrid architectures; experience with cloud migration and platform modernisation.
- Recognised architecture methodology or certification (TOGAF, ArchiMate or equivalent) and experience running architecture governance.

Senior-level candidate with typically 8+ years of progressive experience in enterprise or solution architecture, including multiple end-to-end transformation programmes and hands-on delivery in heterogeneous enterprise landscapes.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field; a master's degree or postgraduate qualification in enterprise architecture is preferred.
