Role & Responsibilities

  • Engrave incoming client and stock jewelry pieces using laser and hand techniques, ensuring adherence to Cartier brand standards and lead times
  • Execute jewelry repair services including sizing chains and rings, reshaping bracelets, necklaces, and rings for both client and stock pieces
  • Perform soldering operations using torch and laser machinery on precious metals including gold and platinum
  • Polish precious metals and execute laser engraving and cutting as required by repair specifications
  • Maintain laser engraving machines and workshop tools, troubleshooting technical issues in coordination with the Customer Service Technician
  • Achieve Standard Time of Operations (STOs) objectives and contribute to brand lead time and service level targets
  • Train and mentor junior team members in engraving and repair techniques as needed
  • Manage assigned precious metal inventory with accountability for materials and finished pieces

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Formal education or certification in jewelry making, repairs, or technical metalworking from an accredited institution
  • 2 to 3 years of demonstrated experience in jewelry making and repair work
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Visual acuity and fine motor control to execute precise engraving and repair work
  • Knowledge of CAD design software is advantageous
  • Familiarity with SAP enterprise software is advantageous
  • Experience with laser engraving systems (1–3 years) is advantageous but not essential
