About Richemont
Richemont is a leading Swiss luxury goods group composed of distinguished maisons principally active in jewellery, watches and high-end accessories. As an employer it combines stewardship of artisanal heritage with global retail and digital organisations, offering a matrixed environment where brand craftsmanship and modern commerce converge.
Richemont is hiring an eBusiness Operations & Project Manager in Glashütte, Germany to lead ecommerce operations and digital projects for its watch maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end eBusiness operations for the maison based in Glashütte, ensuring daily platform availability, catalogue integrity and order fulfilment alignment with retail and after‑sales teams.
- Manage and deliver digital projects (platform upgrades, integrations, feature releases) from scope and budget through deployment, using formal project governance and status reporting.
- Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders—IT, marketing, CRM, logistics, retail and external vendors—to prioritise roadmap items and remove delivery blockers in a matrix organisation.
- Define and monitor eBusiness KPIs (conversion, AOV, uptime, fulfilment SLAs), produce regular performance reports and propose data‑driven optimisations.
- Own vendor relationships for platform, integration and digital services; manage contracts, SLAs and third‑party delivery quality.
- Drive process improvement and operational documentation (SOPs, runbooks) to reduce incidents and streamline commerce operations.
- Ensure digital initiatives comply with brand standards, legal/regulatory requirements and Richemont security policies.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of delivering eCommerce or digital projects within a matrixed organisation, preferably in luxury goods or watches.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to convene technical and commercial teams and present to senior leadership.
- Practical knowledge of commerce platform operations, order management and integration patterns (API, middleware).
- Experience managing third‑party vendors and commercial contracts; comfort with budget tracking and cost control.
- Professional project management discipline; formal certification (PMP, Prince2, Agile/Scrum) is advantageous.
Skills
Experience
Typically 5+ years of progressive experience in eCommerce operations or digital project delivery, with at least several years in a managerial or lead role; prior exposure to luxury retail or watches is strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, digital commerce, engineering or a related discipline; a master's degree or specialised digital commerce qualification is advantageous.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Glashütte, Saxony, Germany, with easy access to Dresden.
Culture
Richemont blends deep respect for craftsmanship with rigorous commercial and digital standards. Teams operate in a collegial, brand‑centred culture that values precision, discretion and long‑term thinking while encouraging cross‑disciplinary collaboration to modernise heritage maisons.
