Richemont is recruiting a Deputy Boutique Manager in Melbourne to support boutique operations, lead sales and coach staff for a luxury maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Boutique Manager in achieving sales targets and key performance indicators, driving day-to-day commercial activity.
- Coach, motivate and develop boutique staff to deliver exemplary client experiences and maintain high service standards.
- Oversee boutique operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, point-of-sale administration and staff rostering.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, receipting and coordination of transfers with central distribution or other boutiques.
- Ensure boutique presentation complies with visual merchandising guidelines and brand directives.
- Handle escalated client enquiries and after-sales service matters, fostering long-term client relationships and clienteling efforts.
- Implement loss-prevention measures and ensure adherence to company compliance and security procedures.
- Collaborate with regional management, retail operations and CRM teams to roll out local initiatives and drive client acquisition.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership capability with prior supervisory or assistant-manager experience in luxury retail.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a premium or ultra-luxury environment.
- Strong understanding of clienteling principles and high-touch customer service.
- Ability to manage operational processes including cash handling, stock control and POS systems.
- Professional demeanor, excellent communication skills and the capacity to mentor a multicultural boutique team.
Skills
Experience
Typically requires several years of luxury retail experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant-manager role. Prior exposure to boutique operations for watches, jewelry or premium accessories is highly desirable.
Education
Secondary education required; tertiary qualification in business, retail management, hospitality or fashion is preferred but not mandatory.
