Cartier Japan seeks Merchandising Planner in Tokyo. Manage inventory, demand planning, and stock optimization for watches. Full-time role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver monthly sales forecasts at model level by network and collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to align demand planning with commercial strategy and revenue targets
- Define and manage product assortment and stock targets for all stores based on sales history, potential, BTQ segmentation, and KPIs for both finished and semi-finished products
- Conduct robust analytics to identify sales opportunities, optimize stock allocation across the network, quickly identify trends and gaps, and build templates to enhance operational efficiency
- Plan and validate seasonal stock increases and decreases in alignment with annual events and business needs; initiate stock reallocation initiatives to optimize turnover and sell-out
- Support boutique openings and renewals by collaborating with Central Operations and Local Retail teams to define stock needs, product mix, customer-centric zoning, and layouts in accordance with company strategy
- Seek opportunities to improve process efficiency through cross-functional collaboration, aiming at simplification, visibility enhancement, and alignment with supply chain innovation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Business-level fluency in Japanese and English
- Proven experience in demand forecasting, supply chain planning, and analytics
- Strong analytical capabilities and demonstrated self-starter mentality
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- ERP experience preferred, ideally SAP

Demand forecasting/planning, supply chain management, and analytics experience required. Experience in luxury retail or jewelry/watch merchandising is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor's degree required.
