Richemont seeks Data Engineer in Moscavide, Portugal to build scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
Role & Responsibilities
- Transform and clean raw data from diverse sources, structuring it into reliable, production-grade data products ready for analysis and system consumption
- Implement and maintain data quality assurance tests to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data flowing through pipelines
- Document data products comprehensively, covering data definitions, dimensions, key figures, and usage guidelines to foster organizational alignment
- Apply software engineering best practices including version control, testing protocols, and continuous integration to analytics workflows
- Propose, design, and automate process improvements to eliminate non-value-added activities across data workflows
- Collaborate with domain leads and data product owners to qualify business needs and translate them into scalable GCP-based solutions
Qualifications
- University degree in computer science, data science, finance, mathematics, physics, or equivalent professional experience
- 4+ years of professional experience in comparable data engineering or software engineering roles
- Strong programming expertise in SQL and Python
- Demonstrated experience working with cloud services, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Familiarity with BigQuery, Terraform, Docker, Cloud Run, Kubernetes, Airflow, and GitLab
- Proficiency in data visualization and analysis tools such as Looker is advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Skills
Experience
4+ years in comparable data engineering or software engineering roles, with demonstrated success building and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure. Prior experience with cloud-native architectures and GCP services is essential.
Education
University degree in computer science, data science, finance, mathematics, physics, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating comparable technical depth.
