Panerai seeks a Case Designer in Neuchâtel to develop technical solutions and innovative watch cases within the R&D department.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop pre-study phases to guarantee project feasibility and conduct risk analyses
- Create 3D models and technical drawings using CREO and produce complete, viable technical documentation
- Establish and maintain bill of materials with rigorous quality control
- Monitor costs, quality, and timelines while adhering to design standards and manufacturing requirements
- Present projects in technical reviews involving multiple departments prior to prototype realization
- Manage technical modifications and address industrialization challenges through Windchill platform
- Provide technical support and quality assurance throughout product development and refinement
- Conduct technological monitoring of watchmaking case products and competitive landscape
- Propose innovative concepts aligned with Panerai's brand identity and innovation scope
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to departmental methodology enhancement
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CREO CAD software with knowledge of SENS methodology and CREO Simulate preferred
- Expertise in ISO GPS dimensioning and tolerancing
- Strong technical aptitude, innovation orientation, and creative problem-solving capability
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Rigorous methodology, analytical and synthesis capacity
- Adaptability, agility, and autonomous work capability
- Familiarity with watchmaking products
- Understanding of intellectual property and patent lifecycle preferred
Skills
Experience
Experience in technical product design, preferably within watchmaking, luxury goods, or precision manufacturing. Demonstrated proficiency with CREO and experience managing complex product development cycles from conception through industrialization.
Education
Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification in mechanical engineering, product design, or related discipline.
