Cartier seeks an engineering intern to drive operational improvements in its Paris Customer Service workshop through Lean methodologies and digital transformation (6-month internship, Jan–Mar 2027).
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive Operational Excellence through Lean Management methodologies, modernising the Operational Management System (SMO), enhancing management rituals, and optimising key performance indicators
- Structure the sharing of internal best practices across trades, design improvement project processes, and establish standardisation and knowledge capitalisation protocols
- Collaborate with Technical Leadership to implement centralised technical training resource management, develop repair standards and technical documentation (videos, repair specifications, operational guidelines)
- Contribute to new repair practice standardisation and workplace standards implementation in close collaboration with subject-matter experts and project leads
- Participate in the evolution of the digital diagnostics tool for complex jewellery products, including needs analysis, implementation, monitoring, and technical documentation
- Facilitate communication between central headquarters, regional platforms, and international Customer Service teams, developing visual supports and communication strategies to drive technical content adoption
- Provide project support on scoping, planning, and monitoring of international market support initiatives
Qualifications
- Final-year engineering school student with specialisation in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Industrial Processes, or Continuous Improvement
- Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities; ability to structure complex subjects, manipulate data, and extract concrete action plans
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; capacity to adapt discourse for diverse stakeholders including workshop artisans, managers, project leads, boutique staff, and platform directors
- Autonomy and proactivity; organised and rigorous approach with enthusiasm for driving projects to completion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Power BI or Looker is advantageous
- Fluent English proficiency (written and oral) for daily collaboration with global teams and platforms
- Knowledge of or first-hand experience with Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management, Kaizen) is preferred
