Cartier internship in Villars-sur-Glâne, Switzerland: Continuous improvement and Industry 4.0 transformation at the Fribourg watchmaking manufacture.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead autonomous continuous improvement projects aimed at stabilizing and optimizing manufacturing processes and quality outcomes
- Develop and embed a continuous improvement culture across the workforce through change management coaching and support
- Deploy new visual control strategies for production line management and monitoring
- Digitalize site operations through dashboard development, production KPI tracking, and real-time data visualization
- Support production teams through the transition to digital tools and Industry 4.0 technologies
- Conduct data analysis and processing to identify and validate potential improvement opportunities
- Stabilize, optimize, and deploy production flow management tools across the facility
- Participate in regular production follow-up and problem-resolution sessions
- Provide technical support for digital production tools adoption and implementation
- Propose and lead high-impact environmental and social projects aligned with Cartier's sustainability commitment
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent with specialization in production management, industrial processes, or related field
- Demonstrated proficiency in Lean Manufacturing methodologies, Agile frameworks, and Design Thinking approaches
- Strong data engineering competencies including data processing, visualization, and analytics
- Fluency with standard business and productivity software tools
- Interest in Industry 4.0 technologies and digital manufacturing transformation
- Entrepreneurial mindset with creative problem-solving capabilities and excellent interpersonal skills
Skills
Experience
Exposure to manufacturing environments is preferred. Previous experience with continuous improvement projects, process optimization, or industry-based internships would be advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple initiatives in fast-paced operational settings.
Education
Engineering degree or equivalent qualification with orientation toward production management or industrial processes.
