Van Cleef & Arpels seeks a Colored Stone Specialist in Paris to manage quality control and sorting of precious gemstones for luxury jewelry collections.
Role & Responsibilities
- Control and assess quality criteria for precious, fine, and hard colored gemstones
- Sort and grade merchandise for existing product lines and new collections
- Manage administrative documentation related to stock intake and inventory management
- Serve as primary interface between manufacturing workshops, stone suppliers, and internal departments
- Maintain and update all tracking documentation related to gemstone operations
- Participate in annual inventory audits and reconciliation
Qualifications
- Confirmed experience in gemology and colored stone expertise
- Proven track record of gemstone sorting within a jewelry house or with a precious stone merchant
- Expertise in identifying and assessing precious, fine, and hard colored gemstones
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Knowledge of jewelry industry standards and protocols
