Van Cleef & Arpels seeks an experienced CNC Setup Technician for 5-axis precision machining in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, France.
Role & Responsibilities
- Configure and adjust production on 5-axis CNC machines using FANUC controls, including setup validation and fine-tuning to ensure quality and manufacturing continuity
- Develop, define, and formalize machining processes and manufacturing tooling strategies in collaboration with workshop management and programming teams
- Participate actively in production outside the development phase, ensuring on-schedule delivery and consistent output
- Conduct rigorous quality assurance of machined components through visual and dimensional inspection using appropriate metrology instruments
- Train workshop personnel, disseminate best practices, and provide regular performance reporting to the production team
- Analyze operational data and recommend process improvements to optimize performance and prevent equipment failures
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machining equipment
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a CNC setup technician or machinist
- Demonstrated proficiency with 5-axis CNC machines and FANUC control systems
- Solid command of ISO programming code and machining documentation
- Knowledge of ESPRIT TNG CAM software is advantageous
- Familiarity with machine tool systems featuring automatic tool changers and workpiece repositioning
- Knowledge of FANUC robotic systems is a plus
- Passion for precision jewelry manufacturing and appreciation for Van Cleef & Arpels' design heritage

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a CNC setup technician, with demonstrated expertise in configuring and optimizing 5-axis CNC machines. Proven track record of developing machining processes, managing production runs, and maintaining strict quality standards in a precision manufacturing environment.
Education
Professional training or certification in CNC machining, industrial mechanics, or equivalent technical discipline. Formal certification in FANUC programming or equivalent vendor-specific CNC training is preferred.
