Role & Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and scale a distributed cloud security team responsible for securing multi-cloud environments and cloud-native applications.
• Define and execute the cloud security strategy, roadmap and standards to protect IaaS, PaaS and containerised workloads.
• Architect secure cloud solutions and review designs for new services, ensuring strong identity, network, encryption and logging controls.
• Own cloud security tooling portfolio (CSPM, CWPP, CI/CD security, secrets management) and drive automation for security-as-code.
• Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, architecture and compliance teams to embed security into the SDLC and incident response processes.
• Manage vulnerability and threat management for cloud estates, perform threat modelling and lead post-incident analysis and remediation.
• Ensure cloud controls meet regulatory and internal compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, data protection frameworks) and support internal/external audits.
• Recruit, develop and set performance objectives for team members; promote cross-maison knowledge sharing and best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading technical cloud security teams within large, multi-cloud organisations.
• Extensive hands-on experience securing AWS, Azure and/or GCP environments and cloud-native platforms.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management, key management, network segmentation, container security and logging/monitoring.
• Demonstrable experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP or equivalent are strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC, GDPR) and experience supporting audits.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence engineering, product and executive audiences.

Experience

Minimum 8 years in information security or cloud engineering roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position responsible for cloud security across multiple cloud providers and large-scale production environments.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline; master's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
