Richemont seeks a CAD Designer (CDD) in Lyon — fixed-term CAD drafter role supporting product development and production documentation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Produce and validate 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD models from concept through to production-ready documentation.
- Translate design intent into detailed manufacturing files (assemblies, part drawings, tolerances and specifications).
- Collaborate with design, prototyping and production teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain bill of materials (BOM) entries and revision-controlled documentation.
- Support prototyping and small-series trials by supplying technical clarifications and adjusted CAD deliverables.
- Perform dimensional checks, tolerance analysis and basic interference/assembly verifications.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of CAD standards, templates and parts libraries.
Qualifications
- Diploma in mechanical engineering, industrial design, product design or equivalent (BTS/DUT or engineering school).
- Proven experience working in a technical office or product development environment within luxury goods, watchmaking, jewellery or precision manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of technical drawing standards, GD&T and materials/assembly processes relevant to small-scale high-precision manufacturing.
- Rigorous attention to detail and capacity to manage document revisions under strict change-control procedures.
- Fluency in French technical vocabulary and professional communication; ability to work in a bilingual (FR/EN) environment is advantageous.

Experience
Mid-level: typically 2–4 years of hands-on CAD/drafting experience in product development or a technical office, preferably within luxury goods, watchmaking, jewellery or precision engineering.
Education
BTS/DUT in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial/Product Design or equivalent technical degree; engineering school diploma considered an advantage.
