Richemont seeks a Business Development Director, Watch Distribution - Americas in New York to lead wholesale growth and distributor partnerships across the region.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the Americas distribution strategy for Richemont watch maisons to drive sustainable revenue growth, market share and brand positioning across the region.
  • Own commercial relationships with key wholesale partners, multi‑brand retailers, distributor networks and strategic accounts; negotiate commercial terms and distribution agreements.
  • Develop and implement go‑to‑market plans, channel segmentation and assortment strategies in coordination with brand, product and marketing teams.
  • Lead territory P&L planning, annual and rolling forecasts, inventory allocation and sell‑through optimisation with demand planning and supply chain partners.
  • Identify and onboard high‑potential retail and distributor partners, including market entry and selective network expansion in priority countries across North, Central and South America.
  • Partner with after‑sales, legal and compliance teams to ensure brand standards, warranty policies and regulatory requirements are implemented across channels.
  • Provide senior leadership with regular performance reporting, market intelligence and competitor analysis; translate insights into actionable commercial initiatives.
  • Coach and influence cross‑functional and regional teams; represent commercial priorities in global business reviews and product planning forums.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record (typically 8+ years) in wholesale, distribution or channel development within the luxury watch or high‑end timepiece sector, with demonstrable results in the Americas.
  • Experience negotiating and managing commercial contracts with distributors and multi‑brand retailers; strong understanding of selective distribution models.
  • Demonstrated P&L ownership, commercial planning and forecasting experience at a regional level.
  • Ability to operate at senior executive levels and influence cross‑functional stakeholders across brand, product, supply chain and legal teams.
  • Availability to travel frequently across the Americas and to attend key trade events and client meetings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance or a related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
