Richemont seeks a Boutique Watchmaker in Seoul — experienced watchmaker to service high‑end timepieces in a Richemont boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service and repair high‑end mechanical and quartz timepieces to the brand’s technical standards.
- Perform movement disassembly, cleaning (ultrasonic), lubrication, timing regulation and reassembly; carry out pressure testing and demagnetization as required.
- Execute case and bracelet adjustments, polishing and minor cosmetic repairs consistent with maison presentation standards.
- Maintain accurate repair records, parts requests and warranty documentation; escalate complex repairs to authorized service centres when necessary.
- Ensure the boutique workshop and instrument calibration (timing machine, pressure tester, demagnetizer) meet health, safety and quality directives.
- Deliver discreet, professional client communication regarding diagnostics, lead times and service outcomes, liaising closely with boutique sales and after‑sales teams.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in watchmaking (WOSTEP, equivalent vocational qualification), or demonstrable equivalent apprenticeship training.
- Strong manual dexterity and proven ability to service mechanical and quartz movements.
- Familiarity with brand quality control procedures and warranty handling.
- Ability to work independently within a boutique environment while collaborating with sales and after‑sales colleagues.
Skills
Experience
Typically 3+ years’ practical experience servicing luxury mechanical watches, preferably within a maison, authorized service centre or high‑end boutique environment.
Education
Diploma in watchmaking (WOSTEP or equivalent) or completed watchmaking apprenticeship.
