Richemont seeks a Boutique Watchmaker in Frankfurt am Main — repair and service luxury timepieces in a flagship boutique role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service and repair mechanical and quartz watch movements to brand standards, including disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, reassembly and adjustment.
- Perform timing and regulation, water‑resistance testing, pressure testing and final quality control to guarantee factory specifications.
- Execute minor casework and component replacement; coordinate external finishing or major case repairs with authorised workshops when required.
- Maintain meticulous service records, parts inventories and repair documentation in accordance with after‑sales procedures.
- Deliver professional, client‑facing service: explain repairs, manage turnaround expectations and uphold the boutique’s luxury standards.
- Maintain a fully organised, safety‑compliant bench, calibrate and care for specialised tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- Recognised watchmaking qualification (WOSTEP, Swiss Federal Diploma, or equivalent) or completed vocational apprenticeship in watchmaking.
- Proven experience servicing a range of mechanical and quartz calibres, with demonstrated competence in timing, regulation and diagnostics.
- Excellent manual dexterity, fine motor control and attention to microscopic detail.
- Strong sense of accountability for quality, adherence to brand technical standards and meticulous record‑keeping.
- Professional demeanour appropriate to a luxury retail environment and the ability to interact courteously with clientele.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of hands‑on watch repair experience in a certified workshop, after‑sales centre or high‑end boutique environment; experience with luxury watch brands preferred.
Education
Watchmaking diploma or equivalent vocational apprenticeship (e.g., WOSTEP, Swiss Federal Diploma or comparable certification).
