Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic assessment, routine maintenance and in‑boutique repairs on mechanical and quartz watches, and carry out basic jewellery repairs and polishing where required.
  • Execute precision servicing tasks including movement disassembly/reassembly, regulation, timing adjustment and quality control to brand technical standards.
  • Operate timing machines, microscopes and polishing equipment; maintain calibration and cleanliness of technical instruments.
  • Provide discreet, expert client-facing service: explain technical findings, present service options, manage expectations and document all interventions.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate service records, warranty documentation and shipping paperwork for atelier referrals when escalation is required.
  • Collaborate closely with boutique sales teams and central after‑sales ateliers to ensure seamless handovers and uphold brand service protocols.
  • Manage spare parts inventories, order consumables and ensure compliance with health, safety and anti‑counterfeit procedures.

Qualifications

  • Formal watchmaking or jewellery repair qualification (e.g., WOSTEP, equivalent vocational diploma or certified technician program).
  • Proven competence with mechanical and quartz movements and experience in finishing, polishing and casework.
  • Strong manual dexterity, visual acuity and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent client service skills, professional presentation and the ability to communicate technical matters clearly to clients.
  • Authorization to work in the United States (if applicable) and reliable means of commuting to Beverly Hills.

Experience

Typically 2–5 years of hands-on experience as a watchmaker or technical service technician within luxury watch or jewellery retail or an authorised after‑sales centre. Experience working to maison technical standards and direct boutique customer interaction is preferred.

Education

Vocational diploma or certification in watchmaking or jewellery repair; equivalent technical apprenticeship or accredited training will be accepted.
