Purdey Boutique Manager, Clothing and Accessories position in London. Lead luxury retail operations, drive sales performance, and manage high-performing team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the retail team to deliver exceptional client experiences through deep product knowledge, refined customer service, and personalized engagement
  • Develop and implement comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the complete client journey in collaboration with the Director of Sales
  • Identify and propose client acquisition and loyalty initiatives, working with the marketing team for execution
  • Establish and maintain impeccable visual merchandising standards and provide clear guidelines to the in-store Visual Merchandiser
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director to establish annual sales targets and KPIs, monitoring daily performance and implementing proactive strategies to achieve objectives
  • Conduct monthly reviews of individual and team performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching to ensure continuous improvement
  • Oversee the development and implementation of SOPs for efficient stock intake, outbound processes, and storage
  • Supervise the Operations Manager to ensure smooth and efficient daily stockroom operations, including intake, storage, and replenishment
  • Conduct regular team meetings to set standards, communicate expectations, and ensure clarity on roles, responsibilities, targets, and goals
  • Develop and implement an annual staff training plan to foster continuous development and enhance team skill sets
  • Ensure full awareness and strict adherence to company and store security procedures by all team members
  • Oversee daily cashing up procedures, store opening and closing, and secure key management
  • Manage the profit and loss statement for the store, ensuring costs remain aligned with budget
  • Maintain robust client relationships through proactive after-sales support and personal client relationship management

Qualifications

  • Solid experience managing retail teams in a luxury goods environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing retail staff
  • Exceptional customer service and client relationship management skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with clear understanding of sales targets, KPIs, and cost management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport with diverse clients and team members
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) at intermediate level or above
