Cartier Boutique Assistant in McLean, VA – Temporary luxury retail role supporting exceptional client experiences in high-end jewelry boutique, $24–$25/hr.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Promote a warm and welcoming boutique environment to enhance the client journey that aligns with Cartier values of open-mindedness, curiosity, generosity, sharing, respect, rigor, and independence
  • Assist the boutique team with front-of-house and back-of-house activities including appointment preparation, client entertainment, product presentation, and sales finalization such as gift wrapping and food & beverage service
  • Support appointment execution by assisting sales associates with discovery and pre-appointment browsing activities
  • Manage the flow of boutique traffic and daily appointment booking coordination (RDV system) as needed
  • Support and maintain visual standards of wrap rooms and Client Services areas with organized, well-maintained displays
  • Replenish daily needs for sales and hospitality areas, support the ordering process, and maintain optimal storage organization
  • Facilitate premium client services including restaurant reservations, entertainment arrangements, and special requests; maintain supporting materials such as maps and literature
  • Manage phone duties including incoming calls, message retrieval, and appointment setting for phone inquiries
  • Assist with quick service requests and personalization services including strap changes, watch sizing, steam cleaning, engraving, and embossing
  • Participate in daily opening and closing procedures including setup and breakdown of the boutique
  • Partner with the Operations Coordinator to manage stock maintenance of non-sellables
  • Remain current on industry news, local and global competition, and community engagement
  • Uphold Cartier standards through a professional appearance, approachable demeanor, and collaborative approach
  • Support a positive and productive boutique environment through personal and team expertise both in-person and via telephone

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in luxury retail, service, or hospitality industry is preferred
  • Excellent computer skills and technology proficiency
  • MS Office experience required; SAP knowledge preferred
  • Additional language skills are a plus
  • Ability to frequently climb stairs and move between areas in multi-level locations
  • Capability to work safely with glassware during hosting and service operations
  • Ability to work retail hours including weekends and travel for training as needed
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and precision

Experience

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; specialized training in luxury retail, hospitality, or client services is a plus.

Compensation
