Delvaux seeks an Assistant Boutique Manager in San Jose, California to drive boutique operations, team performance, and client relationships in luxury retail.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Monitor achievement of sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the boutique
  • Maintain visual merchandising and displays to uphold Delvaux brand image and presentation standards
  • Propose and implement boutique initiatives aligned with Delvaux Direction to develop new clients and enhance market presence
  • Deliver monthly and ad hoc reporting on sales, traffic, KPIs, missed opportunities, and inventory issues with corrective action proposals
  • Manage effective day-to-day boutique operations including POS systems, inventory management, and administrative functions
  • Motivate and coach sales associates to meet assigned sales and productivity goals
  • Optimize team and boutique performance and profitability through strategic management
  • Communicate and reinforce the Maison's strategy, vision, and collective contributions to the boutique team
  • Conduct team meetings to ensure awareness of targets and client experience best practices
  • Provide staff training and coaching to drive success and target achievement
  • Enforce grooming and presentation guidelines across the team
  • Foster a business-oriented mindset and supportive team environment through team building initiatives
  • Support annual performance management processes with feedback and individual development planning
  • Implement and ensure adherence to group, Maison, and boutique policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Maintain compliance with sales, financial, and security procedures established by the Maison
  • Supervise boutique back-office administration including invoices and commissions
  • Manage stock inventory to prevent discrepancies and escalate issues to management and Head Office
  • Communicate delivery schedules and manage staff rotas in compliance with business and legal requirements
  • Monitor client database quality per sales associate and ensure accurate daily traffic counting
  • Maintain boutique premises including lighting, furniture, and overall housekeeping standards
  • Determine staffing needs and create schedules ensuring appropriate coverage aligned with traffic patterns
  • Execute store administration duties with accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain highest standards of inventory accuracy and internal control procedures
  • Support development and management of customer relationships and database systems
  • Serve as a Delvaux Ambassador, promoting the brand to clients and partners
  • Build and develop relationships with VIPs and top clients
  • Ensure professional client service delivery within the boutique
  • Develop initiatives to build networks within the local luxury business community to promote customer loyalty

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of boutique or retail management experience, preferably in luxury retail
