Richemont seeks an Assistant Boutique Manager in Osaka to support boutique operations, drive sales and coach teams for a Richemont maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the boutique manager in day-to-day store operations, ensuring exceptional client service and seamless customer journeys.
- Drive boutique sales and KPIs through active selling, clienteling and follow-up across the Kansai clientele.
- Coach, motivate and evaluate boutique staff; deliver regular training on product knowledge, service protocol and sales techniques.
- Ensure adherence to visual merchandising standards and execute store floor moves, launches and seasonal displays according to maison directives.
- Manage inventory accuracy, stock replenishment, merchandising audits and loss-prevention procedures.
- Oversee transactional accuracy and use of POS; prepare daily/weekly reporting and support administrative tasks (scheduling, payroll inputs, paperwork).
- Act as on-floor escalation for client complaints and complex service recovery while maintaining brand standards and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with regional management and cross-functional teams (marketing, CRM, after-sales) to implement local commercial initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven retail experience within luxury goods, watches or high-jewellery; prior supervisory or team-lead responsibilities preferred.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving client acquisition/retention.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop front-line sales teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and polished client-facing demeanour appropriate for ultra-luxury clientele.
- Flexible availability to cover weekends, evenings and regional travel within Kansai as required.

Typically 3+ years of progressive experience in luxury retail, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant management capacity within boutiques or premium retail environments.
Education
Secondary education completed; vocational training or a degree in retail, hospitality, business or a related discipline is advantageous but not mandatory.
