Area Sales Manager at Richemont in Dubai; lead commercial strategy across Kuwait, Bahrain & South Africa.
Role & Responsibilities
- Implement market strategy in alignment with the Maison's direction, brand image, regional context, and client expectations
- Define network development strategy by identifying relevant business opportunities across assigned markets, including real estate and boutique projects
- Ensure achievement of sales objectives across internal boutique networks in South Africa and external boutique networks in Kuwait and Bahrain
- Accurately forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams and monitor market KPIs
- Establish strong relationships with local partners, boutique teams, and point-of-sale operations while maintaining the Maison's direction and standards
- Conduct regular field visits to assess operations and ensure compliance with brand guidelines across visual merchandising, boutique environment, and client experience
- Explore new and sustainable business opportunities, including permanent and temporary boutiques, watch specialists, and e-commerce channels
- Collaborate with regional Merchandising, Retail Operations, and Learning & Development teams to optimize performance and training
- Monitor budgets related to commercial activities, including selling costs, travel, and capital expenditure
- Drive boutique operations excellence through implementation of appropriate policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in business development or strategic planning within luxury or client-centric industries
- 3–5 years of boutique retail management experience
- Master's degree in Business Development, Management, or related field
- Proficiency in international organisations and matrix environments
- Strong leadership and people-management capabilities
- Strategic and commercial acumen with ability to translate vision into actionable plans
- Resilient, hands-on, and results-oriented mindset
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and public-speaking skills
Skills
Experience
5–7 years of experience in business development or strategic planning within luxury or another client-centric industry, combined with 3–5 years of boutique retail experience. Demonstrated expertise working within international organisations, matrix environments, and the Middle East/Africa region is essential.
Education
Master's degree in Business Development, Management, or a related field.
