Richemont Area Sales Manager, Amsterdam, Netherlands. Drive commercial performance, retail excellence, and team development across boutiques and omnichannel channels.
Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor area turnover by distribution channel and manage budget, including selling costs and travel & entertainment expenses
- Act as a consultant and boutique voice during 360-degree projects to provide relevant insights to office teams
- Develop and deliver content during retail and wholesale seminars in collaboration with the Commercial Performance team
- Coach boutique management on retail performance metrics and the retail equation to optimize sales and profitability
- Promote and accompany implementation of new commercial projects and initiatives, such as commission schemes, match-to-traffic strategies, and boutique excellence programs
- Build and implement yearly boutique action plans with boutique management and office teams, ensuring alignment with Maison strategy, regional KPIs, and localized priorities
- Ensure qualitative digital environment through collaboration with Europe and office teams regarding localized website quality checks and partner mini-website implementation
- Build the present and future of the business area by identifying new POS, real estate, and client development opportunities and co-creating impactful business plans
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions through performance monitoring across all points of sale and boutiques
- Sponsor client engagement and high-end initiatives by ensuring effective collaboration between dedicated departments, boutique management, partners, and client advisors
- Oversee and analyze the Client Satisfaction Barometer to ensure high levels of client service
- Build and implement strong quarterly action plans with wholesale partners and visit regularly to provide support, gain business insights, and demonstrate Maison commitment
- Promote Client Relation Center activities in boutiques and ensure smooth communication to provide top client experience at every touchpoint
- Define and roll out comprehensive upskilling development plans among boutique teams
- Recruit boutique profiles and identify high-caliber talent alongside the HR department
- Provide on-site support and coaching to boutique managers, contributing to their professional growth and leadership capabilities
- Present boutique teams during career committees to ensure successful career management and talent retention
- Optimize boutique structure and efficiency together with the operations team
- Maintain regular in-store presence through frequent visits to boutiques and points of sale within the area
- Monitor and support impeccable visual merchandising implementation, optimal stock levels for all product categories, and adherence to grooming standards
- Verify that all necessary tools and resources are in place to optimize boutique operations and maximize client-facing time
- Identify opportunities for improving client satisfaction through regular dialogue and assessment
- Support oversight and resolution of client service cases to ensure prompt and effective resolution
- Provide on-site support for brand activities and projects, including events, pop-ins, exhibitions, and boutique relocation/renovation initiatives
Qualifications
- Experience in commercial roles with foundational understanding of luxury retail environments or strong interest in boutique operations
- Project coordination skills with ability to support initiatives and manage tasks effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to articulate ideas clearly and engage positively with team members and stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team, contributing positively to shared objectives
- Analytical skills with aptitude for interpreting data and contributing to actionable insights
