Role & Responsibilities

  • Undergo a two‑year vocational apprenticeship to learn all stages of watch dial manufacture and finishing under the supervision of master dialmakers.
  • Prepare and machine dial blanks; operate precision micromechanical equipment and hand tools to execute fine decorative techniques.
  • Execute surface finishes including guilloché, lacquering, printing, enameling and precision polishing, progressively moving from simple tasks to complex operations.
  • Perform visual inspection and quality control with loupes and metrological instruments to ensure conformity with tight tolerances and aesthetic standards.
  • Maintain workshop tools and equipment, document production steps and follow technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with watchmaking, assembly and quality teams and attend scheduled vocational school or in‑house training modules.

Qualifications

  • Completed compulsory secondary education or equivalent and eligibility for a vocational apprenticeship programme.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, fine motor control and steady hands.
  • Strong visual acuity and attention to microscopic detail.
  • Mechanical curiosity, patience and a methodical approach to workmanship.
  • Reliability, punctuality and the ability to work productively within a small team.

Experience

No prior professional experience required; candidates with previous hands‑on craft experience, hobbyist watchmaking or vocational workshop exposure will be viewed favourably.

Education

Secondary school completion or equivalent and eligibility to enter a two‑year vocational apprenticeship in watchmaking/dialmaking.
