Richemont is hiring an Anti‑Fraud Analyst in Tokyo — oversee transaction monitoring, investigations and fraud detection for the group's retail and e‑commerce channels.
Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor transactional flows and automated alerts to identify and prioritise potentially fraudulent activity across retail, e‑commerce and payment channels.
- Conduct end‑to‑end investigations, including evidence collection, case documentation, hypothesis testing and escalation to internal stakeholders or external authorities as required.
- Maintain and tune detection rules, scenarios and thresholds in transaction monitoring and fraud‑prevention platforms to reduce false positives and improve capture rates.
- Perform data analysis and root‑cause investigations using SQL, scripting or BI tools to quantify fraud patterns, loss exposure and operational KPIs.
- Collaborate with Retail, Payments, Legal and Compliance teams to remediate vulnerabilities, close control gaps and implement preventive measures.
- Prepare concise management reporting and trend dashboards for regional Anti‑Fraud and Global Risk teams.
- Support post‑incident reviews, provide recommendations for process or system improvements, and assist in test plans for remediation projects.
- Contribute to training and awareness for front‑line teams on emerging fraud typologies and detection best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven analytical ability with meticulous attention to documentation and auditability.
- Solid understanding of fraud typologies, transaction monitoring, KYC/AML fundamentals and sanctions screening principles.
- Ability to translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non‑technical stakeholders.
- High integrity, sound judgment and experience handling sensitive information in compliance‑driven environments.
- Professional certifications such as CAMS or equivalent are desirable but not mandatory.

Experience
Typically 2–5 years of hands‑on experience in fraud prevention, financial crime investigations, transaction monitoring or a related risk function, ideally within retail, payments, banking or e‑commerce.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline.
