Richemont seeks an Accounts Payable Trainee in Milan to support AP operations and process improvement initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end accounts payable cycle: invoice validation, matching, coding and payment preparation under established internal controls.
- Assist with supplier statement reconciliations and resolve vendor queries in collaboration with Procurement and Treasury teams.
- Contribute to month‑end and quarter‑end closing activities, preparing supporting schedules and variance explanations.
- Participate in project workstreams focused on process improvement, automation and standardisation of AP procedures.
- Document current-state processes, draft process maps and help define target operating models and SOPs.
- Prepare and maintain AP KPIs and regular operational reports for management review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Procurement, IT) to support ERP initiatives and testing.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies and local regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or currently enrolled in a related undergraduate/postgraduate programme.
- Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail and a methodical approach to reconciliations and record-keeping.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive interest in process improvement and project delivery.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of integrity and understanding of internal control requirements.

Experience
No extensive professional experience required; previous internship or coursework in accounting, finance or shared-services environments is advantageous. Demonstrable exposure to AP tasks or finance projects preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or currently pursuing a related degree.
