Richemont seeks an Accounts Assistant — Accounts Payable in Kuala Lumpur to manage supplier invoicing, payments and reconciliations for its luxury maisons.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and purchase order matching accurately and within agreed SLAs; code, date and enter invoices into the ERP system.
- Prepare and execute timely payment runs (domestic and international) and reconcile outgoing payments with bank statements.
- Maintain and reconcile supplier accounts and statements, investigate and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Support month-end close with AP accruals, reconciliations and journal entries; prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company internal controls, approval matrices and tax withholding requirements; assist with audit requests.
- Liaise with procurement, receiving and business units to resolve invoice queries and verify goods/services receipts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimise AP workflows, automation and supplier on-boarding documentation.
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline, or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Professional bookkeeping or accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) advantageous or part‑qualified status desirable.
- Strong numerical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail and demonstrable integrity in handling financial transactions.
- Clear understanding of accounts payable processes, VAT/GST rules and basic corporate tax concepts relevant to Malaysia.

Experience
Approximately 2+ years of hands-on accounts payable or general accounting experience, preferably within a multinational corporation or retail/luxury environment.
Education
Diploma or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; professional accounting qualifications an advantage.
