Richemont seeks an Accountant for Retail Finance Back Office & AR in Kuala Lumpur. Manage boutique collections, compliance, and financial reporting.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable collections across wholesale and retail channels, ensuring timely clearance and weekly retailer statement preparation
  • Oversee boutique sale and collection activities, including resolution of unresolved transactions in SAP, credit card reconciliation via Matchbox, and refund processing
  • Prepare monthly closing journals, sales accruals, and reversals; perform clearing of collection and suspense accounts
  • Conduct and coordinate cycle and annual stock counts; review stock adjustment requests and in-transit inventory for boutique locations
  • Ensure compliance with brand policies, anti-money laundering regulations, and fraud prevention protocols across all retail operations
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages including discount analyses, returns, customer deposits, and financial metrics for brand management confirmation
  • Execute boutique compliance reviews per retail audit cycles and coordinate training on compliance, AML, and credit card fraud prevention
  • Monitor e-invoice submissions for regulatory compliance with IRB requirements and coordinate CRM updates across boutique network
  • Act as primary liaison between brand retail operations and boutique management for policy communication and daily operational issue resolution
  • Support boutique opening/closing projects, process automation initiatives, and financial year-end closing activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or MICPA)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office; experience with accounting software and ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Demonstrated expertise in accounts receivable management and retail finance operations
  • Solid analytical and data interpretation capabilities
  • Deep understanding of anti-money laundering compliance and fraud risk identification
  • Ability to assess complex transactions, identify high-risk areas, and recommend control improvements

Experience
