Richemont seeks an Accountant — Retail Finance Back Office & AR in Kuala Lumpur to manage accounts receivable, reconciliations and retail finance reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts receivable processes for retail operations, including invoicing, cash application, credit control and collections follow-up.
- Perform regular AR reconciliations, investigate and resolve aged debt variances and coordinate adjustments with store and regional finance teams.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and AR reporting.
- Produce and distribute regular management reports and aged debt analyses to stakeholders, highlighting risk and recovery actions.
- Liaise with retail store managers, shared-services and central finance on billing disputes, customer credits and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies; assist internal and external audits as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification preferred (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent).
- Solid working knowledge of accounting principles and standards (IFRS) and retail finance processes.
- Strong analytical aptitude with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data and reconciliations.
Skills
Experience
Typically 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience, with demonstrable exposure to accounts receivable, reconciliations and month-end close activities; prior experience in retail finance or the luxury sector is highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/CA) preferred.
