Renata AG seeks an experienced Tool and Die Maker for its Itingen, Switzerland facility to support premium miniature battery manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and fabricate precision tooling, dies, and fixtures for battery production and assembly operations
- Operate CNC machining equipment and conventional machine tools to exacting specifications
- Maintain and troubleshoot production tooling to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and improve manufacturing efficiency
- Conduct quality inspections and dimensional verifications to ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer specifications
Qualifications
- Completed apprenticeship or formal training as a Tool and Die Maker, Precision Mechanic, or equivalent
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and CAD-generated specifications
- Advanced knowledge of CNC programming and operation (Fanuc, Siemens, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated expertise in precision measurement and quality assurance
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in tooling, die-making, or precision mechanical manufacturing, preferably in high-volume production environments or watch-related industries.
Education
Completed apprenticeship (Lehre) or technical diploma in Tool and Die Making, Precision Mechanics, Polymechanics, or equivalent post-secondary qualification.
