Renata seeks an Occupational Safety Specialist for its Safety and Environment team in Itingen, with on-site presence required. The role supports safety across projects and operations through risk analysis, equipment inspections, audits, permits and training; it is offered at 100% workload, starting immediately or by agreement.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support projects with a focus on safety-related aspects.
- Prepare hazard portfolios for existing and newly acquired equipment.
- Conduct internal safety audits and safety inspections.
- Inspect and approve machinery and equipment using SUVA checklists.
- Support all departments in complying with and implementing procedures in the management system relating to safety matters.
- Investigate accidents and risk events.
- Support applications for installations, planning and operating permits, and other safety-related matters, with support from the Safety and Environment team lead.
- Prepare, organise and deliver training on safety topics.
Qualifications
- Completed technical training in a mechanical field, with further training as an occupational safety specialist.
- Training or professional experience in the chemical field and further training as an occupational hygienist are preferred.
- Several years of professional experience in occupational safety or occupational hygiene.
- A confident, persistent, collaborative and solution-oriented approach.
- Enjoys cross-departmental collaboration at all levels of the organisation.
- German, spoken and written; good English; French is an advantage.

Education
