Renata seeks an Occupational Safety Specialist for its Safety and Environment team, effective immediately or by agreement, at 100% workload. The role supports safety-focused projects, audits, equipment approvals, risk analysis, cross-functional safety matters, and training.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support projects with a focus on safety-related aspects.
- Prepare hazard portfolios for existing and newly acquired equipment.
- Conduct internal safety audits and workplace safety inspections.
- Inspect and approve machinery and equipment using SUVA checklists.
- Support all departments in complying with and implementing safety-related procedures defined in the management system.
- Conduct analyses of accidents and risk events.
- Support facility applications, planning and operating permits, and other safety-related matters, in collaboration with the Head of Safety and Environment.
- Prepare, organise, and deliver training on safety topics.
Qualifications
- Completed training in a chemical discipline, such as chemical laboratory technician or chemical engineer, and qualification as an occupational safety specialist; training as an occupational hygienist is preferred.
- Several years of professional experience in occupational safety or occupational hygiene.
- Assertive, persistent, collaborative, and solution-oriented personality.
- Enjoys cross-departmental collaboration at all organisational levels.
- German proficiency, spoken and written; good English skills; French is an advantage.
